Good luck! _Description_ KingKanji is an award winning Japanese / kanji flashcard system that emphasizes writing as well as reading with animations for over 2,100 characters including all of the Joyo kanji and kana! It also automatically provides stroke feedback while these characters are hand-drawn with the stylus (pen). A flashcard may contain single or multiple kanji and kana along with the English meaning. Over 300 lessons are included covering many popular text books. Don't like the included lessons? -- Create your own! Additional kanji lessons can be written using the included LessonEditor, Microsoft Word XP/2000, or a Japanese word processor. Please visit http://www.gakusoft.com to purchase a permanent registration code for the program via the Web or download more flashcard files. _Known Bugs_ None. _Requirements_ This program requires a PocketPC with at least 2MBs free memory. _Installation_ It is not required but recommonded to remove previous versions of KingKanji from the PocketPC. To do this, connect the device to the computer originally used for installation and use the "Add/Remove Programs" in the computer's "Control Panel". There should be an entry for KingKanji. Select it for removal. Also, please manually delete any of the KingKanji files that you relocated after installation. If you have not done so already, connect the PocketPC device to a computer running Microsoft Windows (9x,NT,2000, XP). Then run the setup program and follow the installation instructions. The installation process creates an entry for KingKanji in your Windows CE device's Start Menu. _Advanced_Configuration_ If you do not feel comfortable moving files on the PocketPC, you may safely ignore this section. The files "kingkanji.exe", "jis.hbf", "jis.16", "strokes.dat", "strokes.ind", "lgstrokes.dat", "lgstrokes.ind", "feedback.dat", "feedback.ind", "kanji24.hbf", and "kanji24.hbf" will be placed in your device's "\Program Files\KingKanji" directory. The combined size of these files is 1.5MB. The help files kingkanji.htc and kingkanji.htp will be placed in the "\Windows" directory and cannot be moved or help will not work. If you have a memory card and are short on main memory, you may want to move these files to the storage card. The files can be placed in "\Storage Card", "\Storage Card\KingKanji", "Storage Card\Program Files\KingKanji", "\Windows", or "\Program Files\KingKanji". The first three directories are on the memory card and the last two are in main memory. The location should not noticeably affect performance. _Help_ For additional program help refer to KingKanji's help menu. _Copyright_ KingKanji is the copyright (C) 2007 of Gakusoft, LLC and may not be reverse engineered, hacked, or decompiled without its expressed, written permission.
